    as for a value, kornboy is right there's no book value....i've been offered $3500 for it, but not willing to sell it.....i do have a kobe/garnett dual jersey/auto coming in this week #d 21/25 that i will probably look at trading....so if anyone is interested they can let me know

    3500 for a bat card and your NOT taking it?? Man you could buy like 5 Ruth jerseys and several
    1/1 Bonds auto's for that. If I was you I would sell it, Bonds is going downhill.

    kevin i tried to tell him that last nite. he said in a chat maybe if the guy tripled that LOL, i rather just get a ruth auto for 10 g's than a 1/1 bat

    Are you sure this is a real 1/1? All of the 1/1's from 2003 Topps Tribute I've seen have a gold front and are hand numbered 1/1 on the back.

    If so, that is an aftermarket item and the guy basically took a really nice card and ruined it by adding his own stamp. I certainly hope that's not true. Perhaps someone with greater knowledge of 2003 Topps Tribute can enlighten us.

    Oh wow, if you paid alot for that 1/1 try and get your money back. You have been had!!!!

    The one numbered out of 50 has a red logo on the front and numbered on the back:

    A regular Bonds/Ruth has the same gold logo as yours.

    If it was a masterpiece I'm sure it would have a different color logo so collectors wouldn't be confused just like how Showcase has a Purple logo for 1/1's.

    Plus, the card would be numbered 1/1 on the back, not the side numbering like those other aftermarket 1/1's.

    I would bet that card is a fake and if you show it to a card rep from Topps they will confirm it's fake. Just hope you didn't pay alot on it. It's sad that there are people numbering cards themselves and scamming collectors. You have to be very smart and shop on ebay to find out what a real 1/1 looks like before spending the $$$$$ on it.
